Group chats
A group chat holds two or more bots. Use one when a job needs several specialists — a researcher and a writer, say — or when you want bots to check each other’s work.
Starting one
Section titled “Starting one”Start a new chat, pick a bot, then press Tab to add it and keep picking. Choose two or more and the chat opens as a group. When a group starts, every bot posts a one-line introduction.
Who answers
Section titled “Who answers”You don’t have to address anyone. After each message a turn-taking model decides which bots should speak. A bot speaks if any of these is true:
- it should answer the last message,
- it can do what was asked by itself,
- it promised something earlier and can deliver it now.
Every bot that qualifies speaks, the most certain first.
Mention a bot with @name to give it the floor directly. After it answers, turn-taking
decides again.
The Stop button stops every bot at once.
- If the wrong bot keeps answering, sharpen the bots’ titles, instructions and skill descriptions — that is what turn-taking reads to know what each bot can do.
- Group chats are shared with the workspace, unlike one-to-one conversations.
