Routines

A routine is a standing instruction with a schedule: “every weekday at 9, summarise the new support tickets”. When it fires, the bot runs the instruction in your conversation with it, so the result is waiting there.

Ask the bot: “every Monday at 10, send me last week’s numbers”. It creates the routine and shows it as a card in the conversation. You can also add one from Routines in the bot’s details pane.

A routine has:

  • Name — how it shows up in lists.
  • Instruction — what the bot should do each time.
  • Schedule — a cron expression, such as 0 9 * * MON-FRI. Times are in the workspace’s timezone.
  • Active — pause a routine without deleting it.

Run a routine by hand to see what it does. A dry run goes through the same steps without doing anything for real. Each routine keeps a history of its runs.
